Review:
Parazyne is a natural herbal remedy used to reduce and bring relief from fever. Parazyne may assist in the maintenance and improvement of general well-being. Parazyne is made from the herb Artemisia annua which has been used in TCM for over 2000 years. According to the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China Artemisia annua or Qinghao is indicated for “fever caused by summer heat; afternoon fever in deficiency of yin. ”Reference to the medicinal use of Artemisia annua (Qinghao) has been found in the earliest recorded Chinese medicinal text the Wu Shi Er Bing Fang (Prescriptions for Fifty-two Diseases) which was compiled between 1065 and 771BC. The modern use of Artemisia annua in TCM is to dispel heat, cool the blood, remove fever and prevent qi from being 'consumed' by summer heat syndrome (characterized by headache, dry mouth, fever, profuse sweating and irritability).
Artemisia annua:
The herb Artemisia annua has a long history of use
both in Asia and Europe. It is known under many
different names including: Qinghao, Chinese
Wormwood, Sweet Annie, Sweet Sagewort, Sweet
Wormwood and Annual Wormwood.
Traditionally Artemisia annua was drunk as a tea
using either the seeds or leaves depending on the
ailment, herbal tinctures have also been used. Both
these methods are generally very unpleasant tasting
and so InterClinical Laboratories has created a tablet
containing a concentrated extract of Artemisia annua
which is easy to swallow with no bitter after taste.
Modern use of Artemisia annua uses only an isolated
principle of the plant - Artemisinin. Parazyne
contains Artemisinin but because it is a whole plant
extract it also contains all the other active principles
of the plant making it a total therapy in a tablet.
Parazyne is an easy to take, convenient form of the
herb Artemisia annua. A must for every home and
travellers medical kit.
How safe is Parazyne:
Artemisia annua has been used safely in Chinese medicine for thousands of years to treat both adults and children. Scientific studies show that Artemisia
annua is a very safe herb with no toxicity. Artemisia annua is not recommended during pregnancy.
