Traditionally good communication in business was limited to such sayings as "how to win friends and influence them",  as coined by the once famous communicator Dale Carnegie. Or sales techniques that where consciously designed to force particular responses from potential customers to achieve results that where driven solely for the needs of the business rather than a relationship of win win between our customers.

 

So just how relevant are these communication techniques in modern day business today. Our customers are obviously far more intellectually sophisticated than they where thirty to forty years ago. They also recognize and often avoid dealing with sales people or customer service departments where the the integrity of the communication is not genuinely about servicing their needs.
